Sundog's Place - A New Look

Sundog's Place has a new look. After much thought and looking around I kept finding myself drawn back to Josh Lockhart's Silk Theme.

So here it is. A clean, nice and definitely modern looking site. I still have more to do.... But now I feel inspired again, thanks to Josh and this beautiful theme.

More soon.

Presenting Like Steve Jobs

Over the years I have been amazed at the style and showmanship of Steve Jobs. I always tune into the most recent MacWorld Keynote as soon as it is posted.

Have you ever thought "how does he do it"? Or have you ever presented and wondered how someone like Steve makes it look so easy?

Carmine Gallo breaks down Steve's presentation into 10 points over at Business Week.

Read it Here

I do a far amount of presenting myself so I am always in a study of the best. Maybe someday I can do as well too. Until then, I will keep watching....

Which Wolf Will Your Feed in 2008?

I thought this would be a good way to start out the new year and bring back this post:

A Great Lesson:

An elder Cherokee Native American was teaching his grandchildren about life. He said to them, "A fight is going on inside me. It is a terrible fight, and it is between two wolves.

One wolf represents fear, anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, pride, and superiority.

The other wolf stands for joy, peace, love, hope, sharing, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, friendship, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.

This same fight is going on inside of you and every other person too." The children thought about it for a minute and then one child asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?"

The old Cherokee simply replied: "The one I feed."

Which one will you feed in 2008?

Solar Power Now Cheaper than Coal!

Their mission: to deliver cost-efficient solar electricity. The Nanosolar company was founded in 2002 and is working to build the world’s largest solar cell factory in California and the world’s largest panel-assembly factory in Germany. They have successfully created a solar coating that is the most cost-efficient solar energy source ever. Their PowerSheet cells contrast the current solar technology systems by reducing the cost of production from $3 a watt to a mere 30 cents per watt. This makes, for the first time in history, solar power cheaper than burning coal.

What is this site about?

I have been letting this site and blog languish for a while now. Not on purpose, but rather due to other commitments. The process of writing books on Rapidweaver has taken a lot of my time. Not to mention I moved 1500 miles to a new home this month!

I think I need to rethink this site, it's look and it's purpose and refine it. Not a bad thing to question things, think them over in a new light and see what comes up.

Who knows where it will lead. A new look? A new focus instead of just thoughts on anything? Don't know. My original impetus was to have a place to just speak on anything. I had marketing sites and now Inside Rapidweaver, but no place just to post ideas and information on things I find interesting or want to wave the flag for.

If any you have thoughts on this, the look of the site I am open to comments.

Just "Dog's Thoughts" for the morning while sipping a nice green tea...
