Their mission: to deliver cost-efficient solar electricity. The Nanosolar company was founded in 2002 and is working to build the world’s largest solar cell factory in California and the world’s largest panel-assembly factory in Germany. They have successfully created a solar coating that is the most cost-efficient solar energy source ever. Their PowerSheet cells contrast the current solar technology systems by reducing the cost of production from $3 a watt to a mere 30 cents per watt. This makes, for the first time in history, solar power cheaper than burning coal.

What is this site about?
I have been letting this site and blog languish for a while now. Not on purpose, but rather due to other commitments. The process of writing books on Rapidweaver has taken a lot of my time. Not to mention I moved 1500 miles to a new home this month!
I think I need to rethink this site, it's look and it's purpose and refine it. Not a bad thing to question things, think them over in a new light and see what comes up.
Who knows where it will lead. A new look? A new focus instead of just thoughts on anything? Don't know. My original impetus was to have a place to just speak on anything. I had marketing sites and now Inside Rapidweaver, but no place just to post ideas and information on things I find interesting or want to wave the flag for.
If any you have thoughts on this, the look of the site I am open to comments.
Just "Dog's Thoughts" for the morning while sipping a nice green tea...

RWcss Book is Available
Monday saw the launch of the first book for Rapidweaver users, RWcss
This book helps new and intermediate users to learn how to identify and modify any css in any theme they need to get the look they want.
This means finding a base theme that has the layout you want and customizing it but not changing the foundation of the theme.
RWcss covers the basics of the theme as well as all the stock page styles.

A Custom Theme for Insiderapidweaver.com
Florian over at ADHD Graphics has been working on a custom theme for www.insiderapidweaver.com.
The name of his company is appropriate. Some nights he has stayed up all night working!
He has also created the logo as well. The previews look great. I hope to have it installed in my copy of RW by next week so I can start making the new site for the Books.
OK, that's a hint. Things are getting close...

RWcss Book is almost in First Draft
The first Draft of RWcss, a book on how to modify themes with a full practical lesson included is almost ready.
Hoping to get it to my editor this week for a first review. Then, if all goes well, to a second editor for comprehension and grammar review.
I am having a custom theme designed for www.insiderapidweaver.com too.
Target date at this time for release is the first week of Sept. (here's hoping...)

Saved by the Logo
Adam over at Elixirgraphics has helped me get a site up for a friend and client today. I needed a logo to dress up the site. Seems it only took about 4 days to to get it done and that included a weekend! He has written about it in his blog.
Now I can finish the site, in RapidWeaver of course, and move on to the next project.
Thanks Adam!

"Hey Steve, don't move. I think there's a Leopard near by..."
Ok, not so close. October to be exact. Is it just my imagination or will this Holiday Season be very Merry...?
Seriously, I do think Apple will bring on some new pods, Macs and of course, Leopard for the Fall shopping season.
But Wait! There is one more thing... Now if I can just remember what it is...

Magnets Repel Sharks...
A surfers dream, complete shark protection!
SharkDefense has been working on the idea for a while now.
But wait, there is a catch (no pun intended):
"Divers and swimmers may thrill to the idea of shark safeguards. However, before you rush out to buy neodymium magnets to create your own shark-repelling gear, Herrmann cautions that the magnets appear to have an effective range of only 10 inches. Also, you'd need to align the magnetic poles outward and keep the magnets from clicking together, and once you had the necessary 10 to 20 pounds of magnets all over your body, you'd sink. So, at a cost of about $5 a magnet, you could theoretically turn yourself into a $400 shark-safe anchor at the bottom of the sea."
Maybe magnetic fences around popular surfing and swimming spots. Yeah, the government will fund that ;-)

Save Internet Radio - Boycott on May 15th
The future of Internet radio is in immediate danger. Royalty rates for webcasters have been drastically increased by a recent ruling and are due to go into effect on July 15 (retroactive to Jan 1, 2006!).
If the increased rates remain unchanged, the majority of webcasters will go bankrupt and silent on this date. Internet radio needs your help! H.R. 2060, The Internet Radio Equality Act was introduced by Representatives Jay Inslee (D-WA) and Donald Manzullo (R-IL ) to save the Internet radio industry.
Only 66 days left until much of the internet stations could be silent. Save Internet Radio dot Org
Please call your congressperson to ask them to co-sponsor H.R. 2060 by CLICKING HERE
No matter where you live in the world, Boycott May 15th my not buying any music in a store or online. Come on, you can do it!

The Dog Gets a Henna Tattoo
OK, this year saw some face painting at MacWorld SF. Now I have gone and done it and have a Dragon on my arm. Albeit a Henna Tattoo that only lasts a few weeks.
Henna is a plant dye and is safe, temporary and a heck of a lot of FUN. So next time you think about getting a tattoo of your current love/infatuation's name on your body, maybe you might want to consider one of these. Just in case.

Which Wolf Will You Feed in 2007?
A Great Lesson:
Which one will you feed in 2007?
An elder Cherokee Native American was teaching his grandchildren about life. He said to them, "A fight is going on inside me. It is a terrible fight, and it is between two wolves.
One wolf represents fear, anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, pride, and superiority.
The other wolf stands for joy, peace, love, hope, sharing, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, friendship, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.
This same fight is going on inside of you and every other person too." The children thought about it for a minute and then one child asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?"
The old Cherokee simply replied: "The one I feed."

Hi and Welcome
This is the humble beginnings of my new site. This is the place I can talk about things I think about, find important and enjoy.
Some of those things will be; Macs, Rapidweaver, health and nutrition, the environment, travel, and life in general...
I am using the OHM Theme from Rapid Ideas
Lots of customizing to go. I like the simplicity of this theme and the site map style navigation. That part will become more obvious over time as I flesh out the site.
Thanks to everyone on the RW Forum that have given me support, ideas, and motivation to do better and learn more!
